Someone recently suggested that ‘simplicity’ was a highly desirable quality of an application that she was developing. I have mixed feelings on the matter.
On Art:
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
— Antoine de Saint-Exuper
On Design:
Simplicity is Highly Overrated.
–Donald Norman
On Science:
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.
–Albert Einstein
On Programming:
Keep programs simple. But not too simple.
–Kramii (All Wrong)
Actually, I think Einstein’s was better.
Keep programs simple, but not too simple, or the K.I.S.S principle. A good quote 😀
